Paul, a former English teacher is a human dynamo. Energetic, cheerful and articulate, he decided, upon retirement.  to begin dabbling in sculpture and three-dimensional form. He won the Darlington Art Prize with his metal creation “Bat Out Of Hell” – a motorbike constructed of non-motorbike parts.

As we had just become a Motorcycle Friendly Venue, we were delighted to accept “Bat Out Of Hell” into the East End Gallery. His other works include the enigmatic “Heroes and Villians”, his interpretation of a vase of flowers and his grass-tree walking sticks.

Paul and his delightful good lady wife Norma are always a joy to welcome to the Gallery.
