With my glasswork, this process is created by picking up a gather of glass from a hot crucible…at the end of a punty ( with the baubles, a couple of puffs of air through the pipe/punty ) then rolling it in coloured glass on a stainless steel surface, redipped into the cauldron of molten glass and then manipulated.
